The Municipal Clerk's office handles a vast number of functions. The Clerk works closely with the governing body, and is responsible for preparing the agenda and minutes for all Committee meetings. The Clerk is also the person designated to receive all correspondence for the township, and is responsible for maintaining township records. Anyone wishing to examine a municipal record must complete an OPRA (Open Public Records Act) form, which is available in the Clerk's Office. The Municipal Clerk is the Registrar of Vital Statistics, and as such, issues marriage licenses. Any couple applying for a marriage license must call the Clerk's office to make an appointment at 908-362-6663, ext. 230. The Clerk also provides certified copies of birth, marriage and death certificates.
